Corps Health Core Vision, Mission and Values

The Salvation Army identity is based primarily in a set of values that drives the Army to seek and save the lost. These values are captured in the Eastern Territory’s six Army essentials:

  1. Evangelism
  2. Holiness
  3. Leadership
  4. Soldiership
  5. Army Distinctives
  6. Stewardship

The Army’s mission has always been among the poor and outcast. We are called to creatively present the gospel in a clear, compelling manner.

The Army’s vision is local and global. Commissioner Emma Booth Tucker said, “Wherever on earth there is a soul, there in measure must beat the heart of The Salvation Army.” In measure means that a Salvationist will take whatever creative or loving steps needed to reach a lost soul for the kingdom.
